Prague, Czech Republic

14th-17th October 2005

This was meant to be a team trip, but someone nameless dropped out, not that that seemed to matter (sorry!) once our taxi driver with the enormous shoulder pads drove across the bridge and we got out first glimpse of Prague at night. Once we picked up our jaws off the floor, we checked into our very central hotel and so the weekend was off to a fantastic start. We went up to the Palace Saturday, Old Town and Jewish Quarter Sunday, and Vysehrad Monday. It was cold but there was not a drop of rain, and finding the odd nice cosy cafe and very hard to find jazz club was not a problem as roaming the streets was just as good as anything else. A stunning weekend, topped off by a return trip with enormous shoulder pad man! Fantastic!!
