As it turns out, this was probably the best accidental timing for a weekend away ever. After getting into lovely warm Lisbon on Friday night, we made our way up to the area called Bairro Alto. We found a great tapas restaurant and sat drinking wine until 2am. That sums up the weekend really. Great weather, fantastic locations, good food and drink, and brilliant company. We also went up to the castle, to Cascais for the beach, and spent far to much time in our favourite cafe having coffee and pastry. Robyn, Diana and Lisbon, thank you for a weekend which meant more to me given the circumstance than all three of you will ever know!
