Cologne, Germany

15th-17th January 2005

In early January, a friend at work found some flights to Cologne for 35 pounds. At a price to good to resist, 8 of us headed off on Saturday morning. Amazingly we got the right train first time into the city from the airport, and the first thing that hits you is the massive Cathedral. On Sunday we climbed it 509 tight stairs to get some great views of the city. Along with architecture some of us sampled kids playgrounds, 1 metre long sausages, a metre of beer, and other german treats. I enjoyed it but wouldn't hurry back, whereas others like its great skateboarding potential.
