Diana and her parents had decided quite a while ago to walk along the Cinque Terre coastline in Italy, and I was lucky enough to be invited along. It was quite a well organised trip where we
would have 5 days of walking between towns, but our luggage would be moved for us from town to town so we just had some pleasant day walks to do.We started in Levanto and walked
to Monterosso, the first town inside the Cinque Terre. From there it was onto Vernazza, and on Day 3 we walked through Corniglia and Manarola before stopping at the last town of Riomaggiore. What was to be our
final day of walking was our longest to Portovenere, and on the last day rather than walking around Isola Palmaria, we opted to take a day trip to see Portofino, which included a boat ride back to Portovenere from Monterosso.
It was an incredibly relaxing trip, and it was great to see some sun instead of the awful winter in London, and Diana's parents are exceptionally easy going so the whole trip was fantastic.
