Deciding that one way or another I couldn't escape from the Irish, I headed off to Amsterdam with an Irish guy from work
and two of his friends. Of course even just meeting in the airport ment we ended up spending time in an Irish bar, even
in the Netherlands. We finally arrived at our hostel on the Friday night at 11:15pm and headed straight out. Amsterdam
is a crazy place, and after sampling some amazing Heineken in the oldest pub (est 1519), we found the more interesting
areas. On Saturday we went on a huge wander around the city, a boat tour through the canals, and then headed back out that
night. It is fair to say it was an amazing weekend in many ways, and I'm extremely happy Ive been there done that, but I'm
in no hurry for a repeat performance.
